Description
CBC is arguably the least well-known cannabinoid in the eyes of the public, and yet it shows great possibilities in the treatment of one of the most prevalent medical issues out there – pain. A 2011 study found that “CBC stimulated descending pathways of antinociception and caused analgesia by interacting with several target proteins involved in nociceptive control. These compounds might represent useful therapeutic agents with multiple mechanisms of action.”1 In addition to potentially relieving pain, as you’ll see within our “Benefits” tab, CBC can also act on a variety of other systems within the body to promote balance, regulate emotional reactions, stimulate cell repair and growth and work as an anti-inflammatory.
Like every single one of our other Keylife products, our CBC Tincture is produced with an emphasis on quality, oversight, and transparency. By playing such an active role throughout the entire manufacturing process, we can ensure that you receive the finest-quality tincture produced, with the best possible ingredients.
We begin the process by selecting only the finest strains of cannabis plants, grown in Oregon right here in the U.S. We choose plants that consistently produce the highest yield and efficacy of cannabinoids possible. All of our cannabis crops are grown organically and contain no GMOs, heavy metals, pesticides, or other unnatural additives. We strongly believe that the less excess you put into your products, the purer and more effective they can be.
Our broad-spectrum CBC is produced by forcing super-critical CO2 through trimmed plant matter, helping us to extract the cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial plant compounds from within. Super-critical CO2 is simply CO2 that is both extremely cold and high in pressure (approximately -69º F and 75 pounds PSI), allowing it to exist as both a gas and liquid simultaneously, which helps it pass through the plant material more easily and with a greater impact on the contents. The CO2 acts as a solvent on the plant matter, helping it to breakdown, before being removed altogether, leaving behind a full-spectrum extract.2,3 In order to become a broad-spectrum product though, the extract must be sent for additional processing to remove any additional unwanted compounds. CO2 extraction is not the cheapest way to remove cannabinoids and the like from plant matter, but we believe it is the best option regarding safety and yield.
Upon completion of the initial refinement process, the full-spectrum hemp extract is next sent for short-path distillation, which ensures that all traces of THC are removed from the plant, resulting in only broad-spectrum CBC cannabinoids. This final CBC extract is then combined with a fat molecule in the form of hemp seed oil, to allow it to be more easily absorbed and effective in our bodies. Many companies choose to use the cheaper option of coconut or MCT oil, but we use unfiltered, cold-pressed hemp seed oil as it is nutritionally beneficial and high in unsaturated fats, and can help to reduce your cholesterol levels.
Upon final bottling we ship our tinctures out to independent, third-party labs who analyze the contents, guaranteeing that you can verify the product contents and accuracy of all our label claims. We believe in placing a strong emphasis on trusting the actual science and in being transparent and honest with our customers.
Keylife CBC Tincture is available in a 1fl oz bottle and contains thirty servings of approximately 33.3 mg of CBC in each dose, for a combined total of 1000mg of CBC per bottle. To maintain optimal purity, we only offer it in our “Natural” flavor, allowing the CBC cannabinoids to play a more prominent role in the overall flavor.
Keylife CBC tincture is a great option for those looking for potential relief from pain, aid in the fight against infections, a reduction in inflammation, or simply a boost to your overall mood and mental wellbeing.

Broad Spectrum CBC – Extracted from organic cannabis plants, grown entirely in Portland Oregon, U.S.A. Contains 0% THC.
Cold-Pressed Hempseed Oil – Cannabinoids are more easily absorbed into our bodies when they are paired with a fat molecule. We use hemp seed oil as it is delicious and high in unsaturated fats, which can help your body to reduce cholesterol levels.

Analgesic Application
As mentioned earlier, CBC can influence nociceptive pathways in the brain to help reduce the impacts of pain. And when paired with other cannabinoids you may already be taking; the effects can be even greater. A 2001 study from the British Journal of Pharmacology found that when combined CBC and CBD interacted with “proteins involved in nociceptive control,” which resulted in an analgesic effect. The scientists involved concluded that “these compounds might represent useful therapeutic agents with multiple mechanisms of action.”1 With the increasing rise of opioid addiction in the U.S. CBC could well play a role in future pain treatment without the potentiality for habit-forming and negative side-effects found with some other traditional analgesic medications. |

Antibiotic Alternative
CBC has been shown to have an impact on bacterial infections in scientific studies for some time. In fact, as far back as the 1980s, scientists realized that CBD could work against and help to eliminate bacterial issues within the body. A study by the University of Mississippi in 1981 determined that CBC helped fight “gram-positive, gram-negative, and acid-fast bacteria” and that “antibacterial activity was strong and antifungal activity was mild to moderate.” CBC could therefore provide a viable alternative to commonly prescribed antibiotics with less nausea or discomfort that can occur.4 |

Treatment for Depressive Symptoms
CBC was found to be effective in assuaging the symptoms of depression to a “significant” degree, with dosing of just 1/10 the amount that was required to achieve similar results with CBD alone.5 It is believed that part of this process may be attributed to CBC increasing levels of the neurotransmitter anandamide, which could help to aid in reducing stress and pain levels that can contribute towards depression. |
 |
Neuroregenesis
Neurochemistry International published the results of a 2013 study that indicated that CBC can “raise the viability of NSPCs,” or neural stem progenitor cells, “which are an essential component of brain function in health as well as in pathology.”6 |

Tinctures are administered orally, specifically sublingually, meaning they are placed under the tongue. Thanks to the numerous small veins under the tongue, referred to as capillaries, CBC and other cannabinoids can be absorbed quickly and efficiently into the bloodstream. Ensuring you receive the most cannabinoids possible in the shortest amount of time possible.
To administer:
1) Shake tincture gently.
2) Remove the child-safety cap with a built-in pipette.
3) Squeeze the bulb of the pipette to fill one full dropper worth of liquid into the pipette, this should be approximately 20 drops or 1ml of liquid.
4) Drip and hold tincture under the tongue for 15 to 20 seconds before swallowing any remaining liquid.
5) Always wait approximately three hours after the initial dose to see how the level of CBC affects you.
6) Administer each dose, as needed before bedtime.
7) Upon dosing, always store your tinctures in a cool, dark location, out of the reach of children and pets.
